What NOT to do at a National Track Meet

You have to flip through these. This is the start of the M50 100m Final at the National Senior Games in Minneapolis, MN.  One of my teammates, Bill Kinahan is in lane 3 (3rd from right).  Look carefully to the right. There is a women in pink crossing the track just as the gun goes off. She is only about 10m from the starting line. The gentleman on the ladder is the starter.  You can see the smoke from his gun, just after she steps onto the track.

Fortunately none of the athletes were hurt, but it did result in a serious delay in the race. Ugh!!
