Hi! Thank you for visiting my website.  My name is Chris McConnell and I am a certified professional photographer, specializing in sports and portrait photography – photographing

individuals and their families – from infants to seniors, for every conceivable event.

While I haven’t always been a professional photographer, I have always been passionate about photographing people.  For three decades I was a financial executive in the investment management industry, all the while shooting pictures part-time.

So, after taking tens of thousands of pictures and reading more than a hundred books on photography, I decided to flip things around.  In 2012, I left the investment world, enrolled in Boston University’s CDIA professional photography school, graduated and now devote myself full-time to my passion as a photographer and part-time as a tax CPA and business consultant – mainly to other photographers.

Having had to deal with all types of people throughout my business life, I find people intrigue me.  I enjoy talking and engaging with them.  My decades spent mentoring and coaxing the best out of people translates especially well to portraiture photography.  My goal is to have fun, relax you in front of my camera and pull the best out of you – to capture your essence and record it forever.

Everyone now has a camera and everyone takes pictures, some even great. But too many are just snapshots or selfies, with no thought to their lasting memory and certainly not something to pass on to your loved ones for generations.
