Last week I took a quick trip to Banff, Alberta, Canada. We took a side trip up to Lake Louise, which is about 35 miles east of Banff. Unfortunately the Lake was still frozen, so we were unable to capture its true beauty. It was cold enough for ice and snow, but too warm for skiing. (Although, I am not a skier).
Fortunately the weather was more than perfect once we arrived in Banff. The drive to and from Banff and Lake Louise is truly breathtaking and nothing like what we have here in Massachusetts. I highly recommend a visit if you get a chance.

Elk were everywhere. They didn’t seem to mind cars or people.

Lake Louise. Unfortunately it was still frozen. The lines in the ice were due to the lake being used earlier in the month for a hockey tournament.

Our hotel, The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, was beautiful, however, you’d never know if from the dirty snow.
Michele Connors - Wow…very nice pictures….and indeed a beautiful place. You have a great eye and amazing ability to capture such beauty.
